Cecchetti Grade 1
Cecchetti is a method of teaching ballet in which select students learn a set ballet syllabus and, when ready, present their work before a panel of examiners. Participation in the Cecchetti program is by invitation only, and all Cecchetti students are required to take non-syllabus classes as well.
Dancers must be recommended by Dance Center Evanston to enroll in Cecchetti Grade 1. For Ballet 2A through Ballet 5, Cecchetti qualifies as one of the required ballet classes.
Black (simple style) leotard with pink tights and pink ballet shoes. Close-fitting white t-shirt or dance shirt with black shorts or pants, black socks, and black ballet shoes.
